Spring has truly sprung at Banana Moon Denmore, and April has been a month full of excitement, growth, and positive change. As the days get brighter and warmer, we’ve been busy nurturing not only the children in our care but also our fantastic team, who continue to inspire and grow every day.
Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to this month:
Preparing for Easter The nursery is filled with excitement as we prepare for Easter! The children are enjoying a range of themed activities including egg hunts, crafts, and stories that help bring the season to life. It is wonderful to see their creativity and joy shining through.
Staff Development & Practice Monitoring Our commitment to high-quality care is supported by continuous professional development. This month, we’ve placed a strong focus on practice monitoring, ensuring that all staff receive constructive feedback to enhance their skills and confidence in the nursery.
We also held room leader training, which sparked some truly positive changes across the setting. It’s been inspiring to see our leaders bring fresh ideas and improvements into their rooms with enthusiasm and care.
Banana Moon Networking Call We recently took part in a Banana Moon networking call, sharing good practice and exchanging ideas with fellow nurseries. These sessions are always a great opportunity to reflect, learn, and grow together as part of the wider Banana Moon family.
Welcoming New Families We continue to show new families around our nursery and are delighted to have welcomed several new children this month. We’re thrilled to have you join our community and look forward to making special memories together.
Supporting Staff Wellbeing Our team is at the heart of everything we do. Through our Employee Assistance Programme, we’ve continued to support staff wellbeing, offering confidential support and resources to ensure they feel valued, supported, and empowered.
Red Nose Day Fun We got silly for a serious cause on Red Nose Day, raising smiles and awareness while supporting a great charity. The children loved dressing up and taking part in fun activities, and our staff were just as enthusiastic!
Staff Induction Progress A big shout-out to our team members who are completing their six-month induction. We’re so proud of how far you’ve come, and it’s a pleasure to see you becoming confident, skilled, and valued members of our team.
Working with Other Professionals We continue to support every child’s development by working alongside external agencies and professionals. By building strong partnerships, we’re better able to understand and meet the unique needs of every child in our care.
